Riecken’s Orthotic Laboratory has been in business since 1910 when grandfather Louis Riecken started with a small shoe service. Mr. Riecken’s grandson, Carl Riecken, has carried on his grandfathers name sake for the past 45 years. Carl is also a veteran of the U. S. Navy.

A three time winner of the Shoe Service Industries’ Silver Cup Contest, Carl is a certified Pedorthist and a certified Orthopedic Shoe Technician. Carl has instructed Orthopedic Shoe Technology at Ball State University. He is a writer and inventor, and holds several patents. He is a creator and manufacturer of orthopedic footwear products.

Riecken’s is a sustaining member of the National Prescription Footwear Association and is a member of the National Shoe Retailer Association. Riecken’s is a certified facility. This designation is given by the National Board for Certification in Pedorthics, of Columbia, MD.
